YouTube comment picker
A YouTube comment picker draws a random winner from the comments on a video. Paste a public video link, and the picker loads the comments through the official YouTube Data API, applies your rules, such as one entry per person or a required #tag, and picks winners with a verifiable seed. No YouTube login is needed.

Works with Mailchimp, MailerLite, Google Sheets and Excel exports. Up to 10 MB.
How to pick a winner from YouTube comments
- 1Copy the link of a public YouTube video. Watch, Shorts, live and youtu.be links all work.
- 2Paste it into the picker above and confirm it is the right video.
- 3Load the comments, and include replies if they count as entries.
- 4Set the entry rules: one entry per person, required keywords or #tags, minimum @mentions, excluded accounts and a date window.
- 5Choose winners and backups, start the reveal and share the result link.
Entry rules you can use
- One entry per person, using their earliest qualifying comment
- Comment must contain a keyword or an exact #tag
- At least a set number of @mentions (a text check only)
- Exclude the video owner and any accounts you list
- Only comments posted inside a date window
Why you can trust the result
The list is fingerprinted and stored before our server issues the random seed, so nobody can change the list after seeing the seed. Every draw gets a public result page that anyone can recompute.
How the draw worksYouTube comment picker questions
Do I need to log in to YouTube?
No. The picker reads public comments through the official YouTube Data API, so any public video works without a login. Private videos and videos with comments turned off can't be used.
Does it load every comment?
It loads every comment the YouTube API returns. Deleted, held-for-review and hidden comments are not available, so the picker compares the loaded count with YouTube's reported total and asks you to confirm before drawing if more than 5% are missing.
Can I require subscribers, likes or shares?
No. YouTube doesn't tell anyone who subscribed, liked or shared, so those rules can't be checked. The picker only offers rules it can check from the comment itself.
Can participants verify a YouTube draw?
Every draw gets a public result page with the video, the number of comments loaded and reported, the rules, the list fingerprint, the seed and the winners. Because comments can change after the draw, a comment draw can't be recomputed from a file the way a list draw can.
