Pick a random winner from a CSV file

A CSV winner picker draws a random winner from the rows of a spreadsheet export. Drop your CSV here, pick the column to show and the column that makes each entry unique, usually the email, and the tool removes blanks, invalid emails and duplicates before drawing. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

Drop a CSV, Excel or TXT file here, or click to browse

Works with Mailchimp, MailerLite, Google Sheets and Excel exports. Up to 10 MB.

Your file is read in this browser tab and is never uploaded.

How to pick a winner from a CSV

  1. 1Export your entries as a .csv file from your email tool, form builder or spreadsheet.
  2. 2Drop the file into the picker above. The delimiter and encoding are detected automatically.
  3. 3Choose the column to show winners as and the column that makes an entry unique.
  4. 4Keep the clean-up options on to remove blank rows, invalid emails and duplicates.
  5. 5Choose the number of winners, start the reveal and share the result link.

Works with exports from

  • Newsletter tools such as Mailchimp and MailerLite
  • Google Sheets, Google Forms and Typeform responses
  • Online store customer and order exports
  • Event registration and attendee lists

Why you can trust the result

The list is fingerprinted and stored before our server issues the random seed, so nobody can change the list after seeing the seed. Every draw gets a public result page that anyone can recompute.

How the draw works

CSV winner picker questions

Is my CSV uploaded to your server?

No. The file is parsed inside your browser tab. Only a SHA-256 fingerprint of the cleaned list, the entry counts, the settings and the winners (with emails masked) are stored to create the public result page.

Which CSV formats work?

Comma, semicolon and tab-separated files work, including Excel exports with a UTF-8 byte-order mark. TXT files with one entry per line work too. The maximum file size is 10 MB.

Can I give some people more entries?

Yes. Choose a tickets column and each row's chance becomes proportional to its ticket count, from 1 to 1,000 per row. The result page shows that the draw was weighted and by which column.

Will email addresses show up in my recording?

Not if you keep “Mask emails on screen” switched on: winners appear as j***@gmail.com. Stored results always mask email addresses.
